Kanye West at the Hammersmith Apollo

Kanye West

Last night, I went to see Kanye West perform at Hammersmith Apollo in what was originally pegged as a one-off performance, but wasn't actually one. I didn't let it spoil my enjoyment of the ocassion though!

I went with my sister, buying her the rather expensive ticket as her 18th birthday present. We rolled up to the venue at 9pm and pretty much went straight in as Kanye started performing.

Kanye's mask

We were at the back, but had a great view as Kanye performed hits from across his albums with a pretty stunning set (a gigantic video screen with various landscapes on it) wearing an all-white suit-like thing, as well as an array of weird and wonderful masks, as you'll see in the photo on the left taken from Kanye To The.

All in all, pretty awesome with a great atmosphere and people singing along. I'm not sure it was as good as his performance from the Glow in the Dark tour at The O2 back in 2011, but it was certainly more intimate and he seemed a lot more down to earth.
